No, on FindPenguins your friends and family do not need to create an account. People can read your articles and view your photos simply by opening the link to your trip. If the trip’s privacy is restricted, share a private link.
Without creating an account, your friends and family need to manually open your link. This is the only way to check if there are new posts or comments. Automatic notifications without an account are impossible (and against the law)!
Only to become an active follower of a profile, a FindPenguins account has to be created. The user has to click on the “Follow” button on your profile and you must accept this request.
Confirmed followers will be notified about new posts, comments and more. They can see trips that are visible to “Followers only” without a private link.
These advanced features technically and legally require an account, but they are entirely optional.
