There are 2 ways of doing this:
Import a GPX file into a trip
You were using another tracking app to record your travel route? You can simply import it into your FindPenguins trip. To do so, export the route as a GPX file, then import it into an empty FindPenguins trip. Choose ”Import travel route” on the trip settings page of the desired trip.
- GPX-trackpoints without timestamps will be ignored (there are tools to retrospectively add timestamps, try searching for ”add timestamps to gpx files”)
- GPX-trackpoints that are less that 500m apart will be ignored
- GPX-routes and GPX-waypoints will be ignored
Import a GPX file into a Footprint post
It is possible to add a detailed hiking, running or any other route into a footprint. To do so, create or edit a footprint, tap the ”Add attachment” button and select ”Choose a GPX file”.
